Service Description

Our garment making tutor is Gillian Neath. Gillian will be using patterns from the wonderful Sew House Seven. You will be guided through the use of commercial patterns and also how to ensure a perfect fit and finishing off techniques. And you will have a brand new garment to take away with you. This is suitable for an intermediate level.. The Wildwood Wrap Dress is perfect for the office, parties, weddings or when you just feel like wearing a dress. It is a true wrap dress, with a wide detached belt. The beauty of this dress is created by the drape of the shawl collar and enhanced by the waist and shoulder pleats. It has generous front pockets, and a slim skirt with a wide, faced hem. French seams are used to construct the upper bodice so version B looks pretty once the sleeves are rolled up. Choose a below the knee hem or longer midi-length hem. This pattern is rated intermediate due to the skirt facing technique and French seamed shawl collar and shoulders. You will need to bring 4 metres of fabric, slightly more if your fabric is very narrow or needs to be pattern matched. This dress works well in linen, cotton and other non stretch fabrics. All other materials, including use of sewing machines and your own Wildwood Dress pattern are included. The workshop is one day and the cost is £55. Please note :- All workshops are held on the second floor with access via the stairs Hand sanitiser will be provided throughout Tea, coffee and refreshments are provided
