Make your own cap with a choice of four styles - April 1st 2022
- 55 British pounds£55
- Cambria Costume House
On this one day workshop you will be able to make your own cap from a choice of four styles. The 8-panel, peaked cap, known as a Newsboy or Gatsby Cap, this style is also very popular with Peaky Blinders enthusiasts. The Cadet style cap or the Trapper cap which has cosy ear flaps. The ear flap is designed to hug the neck and pull in against the ears and when flipped up, it stays tight against the cap without the need for fasteners. Or the Captain style cap, also known as a Fisherman or Fiddler style cap. We have also added a new cap for you to choose which is a stylish Flat Cap. These unisex caps suit all ages and the pattern sizes range from child to large adult. You will need to bring just 1 metre of your own fabric. This cap can be made with a broad variety of fabrics. I would recommend fabric of medium thickness like wool suiting, denim or canvas but avoid fabrics that are heavy, rigid or thick. Thinner fabrics like cotton or linen can also be used with a layer of interlining or interfacing, both of which can be provided on the workshop. All other materials and machinery, including lining fabrics, are provided. The workshop is one day and the cost is £55. Tea, coffee and refreshments are also included, all you will need to bring is your lunch.
